[SUNDANCE] HBO picks up “Burma VJ”

(BLACK BOX OFFICE SUNDANCE) HBO has secured the U.S. TV rights to “Burma VJ”, a documentary about the 2007 uprising of Burmese monks. The story is told  fromm the perspective of underground video journalists, and is directed by Anders Ostergaard. The film has already won top prizes at the International Documentary Festival in Amsterdam and CPH: Documentary festival.

So that audiences can get the silver screen effect of the picture, the film will be shown at the Film Forum in NYC before its HBO debut.
