Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Pena have been recruited to join Columbia’s “Battle: Los Angeles.”
The sci-fi action film, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, stars Aaron Eckhart as a Marine staff sergeant (Eckhart) who, with his new platoon, must battle an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles.
Rodriguez will play Cpl. Adriana Santos, a member of a radio battalion. She also appears in James Cameron’s “Avatar”, and will star and produce the historical drama “Tropico de Sangre”.
Michael Pena most recently appeared in “Observe and Report” with Seth Rogen, recently completed production on Werner Herzog’s psychological thriller “My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done.” He plays the father of a boy the Marines find along the way.
Bridget Moynahan, who also recently signed onto the picture, plays a veterinarian.
