The love story “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, one of the biggest blockbusters of Hindi films, has completed 750 weeks of continuous screenings in a cinema hall.
This past Sunday, the film completed a staggering 750 weeks at the Maratha Mandir theatre in India.
Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Aditya Chopra, DDLJ stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film opened to full houses and rave reviews all over the world on Oct 20, 1995. It is one of two Hindi films on the list of 1001 Movies To See Before You Die.
Shah Rukh Khan, who plays Raj in this film, is also in “My Name Is Khan“, released this year through Fox Searchlight, which is currently the highest grossing Hindi film in the United States.
