Angelina Jolie is set to play the lead in a remake of British television
drama “Unforgiven”.
The ITV drama, aired last year, is about Ruth Slater, a woman released from jail after 15 years for murder and is then stalked by one of her victim’s sons. Jolie is said to be “very interested” in the role.
“It’s a raw, dramatic part that will strip away her glamour and really showcase her acting skills,” express.co.uk quoted an industry insider as saying.
Written and created by Sally Wainwright , the original three-part drama “Unforgiven” starred Suranne Jones, best known for her role on “Coronation Street“, as Ruth Slater.
