For this to work, they have to get Michael Keaton. Nobody else can play the role like Keaton does. it’s either him or bust. Although he’s 60, he can still do it. I am very happy that there is a television channel geared toward African Americans. I stumbled onto this channel on News Years day and watched the “Fat Albert” marathon and a gem of a movie “Bustin Loose” I enjoy this channel very much and I hope it remains cable free to the public.

Too bad Netflix is going to be losing the Starz Play programming in February. I decided to cancel Netflix as soon as the price increase happened because I found more in the Blockbuster Movie Pass from my provider, DISH Network. For $10 a month, I get 21 channels added to my lineup, unlimited streaming to my TV or computer, as well as DVD, Blu-Ray and game exchanges in the mail or at the store. Plus, I get to see Starz programming, as it is included in the Blockbuster Movie Pass so I won’t be missing anything in February! I would still have the Blockbuster Movie Pass whether or not I worked for DISH because for $10 a month, there is more available than from Netflix! Hopefully Netflix figures things out! I’ll be sticking with my Blockbuster Movie Pass.

I think a part of the reason Indian is stuck in the 90s with regard to Western pop music is that when the 90s ended, so did a 24-hour TV format for Western pop/rock music. In the 90s, Indians were probably either ahead or on par with the west in terms of the latest and greatest in pop music. It is only after MTV in its original format disappeared and paved it’s way for more local music. I don’t suppose it helps that there is no 24/7 over-the-air radio station (with the exception of Indigo) that caters to that segment of society that still enjoys western pop/rock. I guess the question is…will mainstream India embrace internet music radio?

How did you give this movie a 4 star rating? The writing was absolutely terrible. While the premise of the movie on paper seems appealing, Russ Parrs inability to direct and write is abundently clear. He wrote this script in less than a month and it shows. The film looked like it was shot by kids. I have seen college students do a better job filming. I don’t even know where to start when it comes to how bad this movie is. I understand this is Russ Parrs big screen debut, but I have to say. PLEASE RUSS DO NOT QUIT YOUR DAY JOB. Mr Parr is undeniably one of the best personalities on the radio today. He’s funny and he’s able to connect with people when he’s on the radio. This however does not happen in this film. The writing for the film was terrible. It lacked any depth, the characters were boring and cliche, and the dialogue was flat. In a recent interview Russ Parr bragged about being able to turn out 15 pages a day when he’s writing. A child can do the same if not more, however this does not mean that there is any quality in any of the pages.

I had to sit through almost 2 hours of this and it was unbearable. Had it not been for the cast I would have easily walked out of the movie. The only question that kept popping up in my head was how does one of the most talented comedians today attach himself to such a poor script and director? Kevin Hart is by far my favourite comedian, and it pains me to think he’s choosing scripts like these when he could be the next Chris Rock or Eddie Murphy in hollywood. I found out this is not the first movie Hart has made with Parr, and the only conclusion I can come up with is that they must be very good friends, or Hart owed Parr some favours.

For you to rate this movie 4 stars and say it is “very good” destroys all credibility with this site. I can no longer take any review of any film seriously if it comes from this site. Do yourself a favour and hire critics that know what they are talking about.
